To access these titles go to this page and click on 'Find journal articles' on the right, then click on the 'Find e-Journal' tab and search. At some point you will be asked to log in using your university ID and password or, depending on the journal, you might need to log in with your Athens ID.

The JSTOR archive also has key back issues of relevant journals (check out the sections on Language & Literature and Linguistics).

The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) gives free access to hundreds of online journals.

Some useful study skills advice can be had on the University of Sunderland library’s Specialist Support pages. To help develop the critical thinking required for internet research, take a look at Internet Detective (or Internet for English). And the Research Observatory is helpful too.
